NIA RAIDS IN UTTAR PRADESH

In connection with NIA Case no. RC- 01/2023/NIA/LKW revival of NRB of CPI (Maoist) case
searches are going on at eight(08) locations of Prayagraj, Varanasi, Chandauli, Azamgarh and Deoria districts of UP.

Ipshita, secretary of Bhagat Singh Students Morcha (BSM), BHU, said that NIA raided office of BSM on Tuesday morning and BSM President Akanksha Azad and Joint Secretary Siddhi, who were present in the office, have been detained. Their phones have also been confiscated by the NIA. No one is being allowed to go in. Heavy police force have been deployed outside the office. When the organization’s colleagues reached the office, the NIA and the police snatched their phones and assaulted them.

Bhagat Singh student morcha is an organisation of students which is mainly active in BHU campus.

NIA team also raided at residence of Janwadi Kranti Dal leader in Uma Nagar locality in Deoria for alleged connection with naxal group.NIA team present at PUCL president Seema Azad’s home in Prayagraj. Seema and her husband Vishwa Vijay are also members of a student organisation ‘ Disha’. Team is also questioning some other persons but their names are still to be confirmed.
