Writer-Director Kiran Zaveri Bhatia says Haveli Mei Hungama is a hilarious family entertainer
Remember the shy girl in pink suit who played the love interest of actor Mamik in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander? Well, her iconic scene with Mamik buying breads from his bakery in the film is still fresh. Kiran Zaveri Bhatia, who started her career as a model marked her dream debut with JJWS and went on to do Baadshah with Shah Rukh Khan and the lead in Roshni.
And now, she has added another dimension to her personality who is now the content head and producer of her banner Woodpecker Movies along with Rajesh Bhatia. Her first production venture Motichoor Chaknachoor in association with Viacom 18 featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui is soon to be released. Her company Woodpecker Movies is also backing Bole Chudiyan (Directed by Shamas Siddiqui), Rusty Aur Dusty (Directed by Glen Baretto) and Pyaar Ka Achaar (Directed by Navneet Baj Saini).
Besides all this, Kiran has also added another feather to her hat by turning a writer-director with Haveli Mei Hungama. Elated Kiran says, “The film is a family entertainer which deals in women suppression in two Marwari families. It aims to expose the double standards, hypocrisy and women suppression in India households. Since I had grown up in a Marwari family so I have added my observations to give the realistic touch to the film.”
When asked about the acting, she says, “Acting is and will be my first love and I am passionate about it.” Spilling the beans on it, she adds, “I am doing an interesting role in a film which has four intense characters and is about greed, obsession, power and the life beyond.”
She also cleared that as an actor she won’t restrict herself to her own production house, Woodpecker Movies. Kiran Zaveri Bhatia is also venturing into digital space with the series, The consent, The Deal. You know as they say Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander!
